Re: VH-1/ Eddie Vedder

Better yet, why doesn't Eddie explain to the Iraqi people why he hates Bush more than he cares about Iraq's freedom. Let him explain to any of the Iraqi parents who were recently reunited with their kids freed from a bchildren's prisonb why, if it were up to him, he would have left Saddam in power. What does he have to say to all of the jubilant celebrating Iraqis? He wishes they were still living with Saddam? Eddie is free to think whatever he wants, but I fail to understand why he seems to even find Bush more contemptible than Hussein...
Again, this is fertile ground for artists, and perhaps folks like Pete or Eddie Vedder ARE more qualified to make sense of it because of their ability to represent the complexities of moral issues. You have to weigh your list above against the costs, which are a little more than just the $80B President Bush budgeted for the first month of war.

Also, the celebrating Iraqis have been played over and over on American TV, but this morning a BBC reporter noted that this crowd consisted of only dozens of Iraqis in a city of five million, a possible indication that the sentiment may not be universal.
