Age, Luck, & the many faces of death

Well, you guys gotta understand....in 1982 my Who fanaticism was
just starting to blossom.....exploding is more like it. I had
never seen The Who. I had never seen a Rock concert! I was 15.

Scott:

That's what you get for being young! No, I know what you mean. I was unable to go to the 1971-72 tour because there was little chance here in the South and with my ability to get to, say Atlanta, at that time. I can only imagine how incredible that experience would have been, given the lack of decent bootleg material from that period. I know that three years later they kicked my ass good and proper.

Jim, leave me alone

Kevin:

Hey, good luck with THAT!.

"Nobody's right,
If everybody's wrong."

Lew:

However, in this case it's clear to see who is wrong.

>I know, I know....really, it's the *person* who must be blamed or
>held accountable, not the drugs or alcohol. But you have to admit,
>those two vices helped in actually *killing* two members our belov-
>ed Who. Talk about a hindrance! That's why it got my vote.

Scott:

Well, I don't know if I'd blame drugs for Keith's death. Does one count perscription drugs as "drugs?" Clearly, it's not the same as doing cocaine and killing oneself. I'd call Keith's death accidental, not a drug overdose. John...I still don't know what to think about that. I have to see it as John putting a gun to his own head, and cocaine was merely the bullet. If you intentionally step out in front of a bus, is it an auto accident or suicide?
