Where there is a will, there is a way.

the Who (he thought I was rebelling because of the music I listened to and
destroyed like all my Who albums including "Smash your head....Secret
Policemen Ball and others that I've never seen for sale since). But, my big
sister, who was 19 said she would go with me. It was my first concert. It
was my first Who show. I wouldn't say my parents were lax, but I was
extremely persistent. Back in those days, to buy a ticket, you had to mail
in your money and when they received it, they would mail back the tickets. I
had forgotten to include a self addressed envelope, so I waited for hours
until the mail man came and begged him to let me have the letter that was in
the mail box and insert the SASE.

My 3rd Who show, was 1989. I got up in the middle of the night to stand in
line for a ticket at the local ticketmaster outlet. They would issue
numerical wrist bands and then pick a number. The line would start with that
number. I was 13th in line! However, the seats sucked. At the show, my
ex-husband and I were on a mission to get to the front. We got separated, so
I was on my own. All 5 feet of me was dragged out by security 5 times. I
just kept trying until finally I snuck past security and got in the 10th row.
Heaven!!! My ex made it into the 4th row.

At that point, I wanted to get on the stage and smooth on Roger. But, I
realized, even if the stranger standing next to me agreed to launch me 20
feet in the air and I did land on the stage without dying, I'd be ejected
from the Rose Bowl and miss the rest of the show. So, I just stayed put and
enjoyed the show.

Anyway, those were the good ole days of my youth.............I've been to the
Daltrey/British Symphony show and the Daltrey does Townsend show since
then.......but I guess the 1989 was the last time I saw The Who - Moon.
