And the bread bakes on............

It's just a legal term (good ol liberal arts education don't cha know) for
not being treated fairly...which simply means like everyone else...brokers
included.

No, that's not true. I was at my computer as early as possible to get on
line and purchase tickets (assume you're referring to Boston). You're
confusing that with the fact that once I realized I couldn't get good seats,
I *chose* to wait and see what happend..like pray for a better ticket
release or something.
I was harmed in that I didn't even have the *opportunity* to grab the good
seats that were advertised at a given price.
For that matter, so were you, since the person who was purchasing for you,
who also was desperately trying to get the up close tickets that early
morning, couldn't.
So the "harm", is that you could have had better seats than you (or I)
currently have.

Yeah, but we don't know if there's a contract for x amount of tix, for x
amount of charge. Or, if it's just, well, we'll let you have access to our
computer system first, or what?
And, you're assuming the venues "do" something.

I really didn't mean to start this all up again.
I'm having trouble understanding why this view of wanting equal opportunity
is being met with such frustration and condemnation.
Because, really, I think most people are pissed at the brokers existence
too.

I still haven't heard a reason why it's ok to outlaw scalping, yet brokerage
is ok.
I see no difference.

I'm just trying to understand. Really.
