LAL vs. BTTB

Hi Kids!

I must agree with Phil and Derick. Of course LAL is "The" live set perhaps
of all time and as a result becomes the object by which all else gets
compared. But each recording (live or not) represents a band at a certain
period of time, and sometimes with different personnel. Obviously there was
only one Moon, but Zak is a treat. I find it exciting to listen to the
differences between say LAL and BTTB or IOW and the numerous bootlegs and to
feel what they were on about during each tenure. It's just so great to hear
these guys still laying it out that I dig BTTB. No, it's not LAL, but a 1970
Vette is not a 1999 Vette, yet I reckon I'll take both (no offense to Ford
folks).

However, Carolyn, thanks for your honest opinion. That's the kind of
creative juice that is part of the fun of this list. (You know, politics
free)

Everybody have a great weekend!
