Nah, not to deep for you apparently. We're saying the same thing.
The line "but now I'm older" hints at it. Before, I was a hard punk...Fuck
you! But, as I get older, the softer side of me comes out.........I love
and need you (no, not you Jeff ;)! We all fight with that (again, not you
Jeff ;). We want to remain tough, but naturally become softer as the need
for company and inclusion and love begin to take over. Really when you get
down to it, its simple Psych 101. At the end, death, we all want to know
that we were "successful". That will mean very different things to many
different people, but to die alone surely can't be seen as successful. A
pretty depressing thought.
I keep thinking about "Full Metal jacket". The duality of man, a peace sign
button on his lapel and "Born to kill" on his helmet.
Tough, yet loving.

I too have softened. But, if this Political stuff continues, I'm going to
dig up my Army Boots and go be a Soldier of the People! (sorry ;)

I heard it the first time at "A Day in the Garden"......yep........98.

Yes! Pete thinks and agonizes, and Roger does. Pete creates (music art),
and Roger farms.
Abstract/subjectivity vs. tangible/objectivity.
What a pair.
Oh my,...............the............duality.............of...........man.

>MP3 - That was just so immediate--and he got the expression just right.

I would guess that he is aware of that, thus the MP3.
He'll find it again.

Is that what he means by saying "set them free" ?
Set 'em free even though it hurts?

God, getting old (age wise ;) is going to suck.

I think you're right. But, I also think John will be the fill for the
inevitable gaps that appear in Pete's works. Who knows, maybe Pete will
give John a project. Kind of like, "here's what were doing 'eh, so why
don't you see if you can come up with something that will expand on this
idea, or a link between these two ideas..........I SAID, WHY DON'T YOU SEE
IF YOU CAN COME UP WITH SOMETHING..........". (sorry John, just kidding!)
Doesn't "Cousin Kevin" just rock fucking ass though, and fit perfectly into
the entire Tommy scheme???!
John'll be in there, somehow, someway.

Kevin in VT.
