re- Pete's hearing.

I noticed those lagre plastic or plexi glass plates too. I even remember 
seeing them on the 25th anniversary tour. I have never
known exactly why they were there but always suspected it had to do
with Pete's hearing problems and had read somewhere that by playing
His guitar within that area on stage, it was the quietest part of
the stage. (possibly so that he could hear himself play better ?)
