re-insults etc.....

I agree that in the great debate, things may have go a little out of hand.
Things were said, probably in haste and again it seems only natural for most
of us who feel so deeply about this band and it's surviving members that we
tend to defend their honour so to speak, after all it's a Who list and
somebody's gotta do it. Brian Mcgoo, there's no need for you to leave the
list as far as I'm concerned. Yes I was one whom criticised your comments
but also hoped that with all of your education you would have seen thru what
I was trying to say, alas, it appeared you did not. Yes ladies and gentlemen
we do need to keep things civil on the list and perhaps leave out the insults
and not grt too personal. Mr. Mcgoo raised several interesting topics, and in
my opinion was debated in ann unprecented level by Mr. Leaman who in MHO won
hands down. What seems to have been ignored by most is that as we approach
the end of the 20th century,we still have three original members of The Who
still alive and hopefully still willing to play LIVE every now and then. To
me, that is the most important thing. We, the fans, should be celebrating this
fact,by honouring the band in whatever ways possible and thanking them for
their fabulous contribution to Rock Music and let them know that we're with
them every step of the way. It's great to hear that there will be new
releases of the BBC tapes, and maybe material from Lifehouse as well will
finally see the light of day, but what it was really all about my friends,
what the whole thing was about was the ability of those four geezers from
shepherd's bush to get up there on that stage and play like no one else
could. Let's not forget that. Thankyou guys. It's been a pleasure over the
last 30 years or so. Regards, Derick.
