In the interview Pete did on Jools Holland's show, Pete mentions that
he started off playing the saxophone because of his dad. Discouraged, not
being able to "get a note out of it", he abandoned the sax and took up the
harmonica at around the age of 8. Pete WAS teaching himself and the banjo
was next. Can you picture l'il Pete walking around his house making "noise"
all day?
