Who books for sale>>>

Hello All,

I have two Who books for sale out of my collection.
I am moving soon and I really have to thin things out
and I also found a mint Tales from the Who on vinyl which
I have been trying to find for years.

The first book is call THE WHO. It is by Jeff Stein
and Chris Johnston. This book was published in 1979
and is a second printing of the very rare photo book
from 1973. The entire book is photo's of
the band. These photo's were taken during The
Who's American tours of the early 1970's. Specifically,
the photo's come from:
Tanglewood, July 7, 1970
Saratoga, August 2, 1971
Rochester, August 9, 1971
Dallas, ???, 1971
The photo's are all b/w and include great shots
of the band both on and off the stage. The Moon and
Townshend pic's are phenomenal with many classic
pic's of Pete attacking his SG. There are a lot
of backstage and hotel room pic's which are great
too. (even some with Roger playing guitar and Pete changing
into his Doc Martin's and white jump suit from his
day clothes) The book was published by Stein and Day and
the photographers really capture the electricity of the
Who in this period. A classic book.

The second book I must part with is The Who In
Their Own Words compiled by Steve Clarke. This
is the first 1979 publishing by Quick Fox and was
printed in London. The book basically is a photo
album containing 128 pages of common and not so
common pics of the band spanning their 15 year
career up to that point. The book also has (as the name
implies) text compiled from stories and quotes
from the band about all kinds of things. The stories
and pic's (all b/w) deal with a lot of personal
things. Thier are pics of everyones wives and families
and some very interesting stories I never heard
before on the guys relationship to their families.
(Moon even goes into detail about his divorce!!!) The band
shares stories about everything from drug use on the
road to the new drummer (kenney) to the origins of songs,
A very intersting and curios book.

Both books are in great shape with very minor
wear on the covers, especially considering
their almost 20 years old. If anyone from the list
is interested in either or both books please email
me personally.

Thanks,
damian
