THE OX REVIEWED BY THE SONICS ALL MUSIC SITE!

John Entwistle King Biscuit Flower Hour Presents: John Entwistle/King
Biscuit Flower Hour Records

Here is 57:37 of pure thundering magic right from the fingertips of Who
bassist John Entwistle. King Biscuit Flower Hour Presents: John
Entwistle/King Biscuit Flower Hour Records is a killer live concert
performance culled from the archives of KBFH Records vaults and is a must
for any Who/Entwistle/bass/musician fans collection. 'The Ox' is in KILLER
form on this 9 song CD which includes a recent 13:39 interview with John
reflecting on this live CD & tour (a must for musicians!). The LP this tour
was in support of at the time was 'The Ox's' Mad Dogs release and it was
recorded live at The Spectrum in Philadelphia, Pa on March 15, 1975. This
is a full blast of solid R 'N' R that includes some very heavy versions of
his Who tunes like "My Wife," "Heaven And Hell," "Whiskey Man" & his
classic trademark "Boris The Spider". "Not Fade Away" roars! Here is 'The
Ox' backed by a cool 4 piece band and he handled the front line fine not
only with his vocals but as a lead vocalist. Great liner notes/pixs and a
cool pix disc round out this release! The Ox Rocks! Jay Siekierski
