A Birthday Cinquain for Pete :)

I couldn't let Jen write the birthday poems all by herself!  So 
here's my little birthday cinquain:

Happy
Birthday to Pete!
He's our lad, the one who
Writes the songs and plays the guitar
Quite well.

Isn't it nice to see my training in the fine arts finally paying off? 
 This mediocre cinquain just made it all worthwhile. :)  Oh well, 
it's the thought that counts, and I am thinking good birthday 
thoughts for Mr. Townshend!

Incidentally, my school had a big birthday celebration today for 
another great man, our school's namesake, Malcolm X.  We had an 
assembly that actually managed to be entertaining (wonder of wonders) 
and a cookout with veggie burgers.  I turned out in full Who regalia 
and secretly pretended that some of the festivities were in honor of 
Pete. :)
