I would think that to be true more of an "audience" recording, rather than a
"board" recording. Think about this... take the guitar, run a line from it to
the mixing board and then from the board to the amps, which then go to the
speakers. The sound from the guitar is going to travel to the board, which is
connected to the recording equipment, way before it even gets to the amps and
speakers. I suspect they must have a few mikes aimed at the audience to pick
up crowd noise and some other "feedback" in order to get that "live" feel. I
don't think much is picked up through Roger's mike or Keith's mikes. 

In a similar analogy, if you have a component stereo in which the CD player
and tape deck are recorded to your pre-amp, you can make an identical
recording whether you bother putting your amp and speakers on, simply because
of where they are located in the loop.
