Re: Pete's Hearing

     This weekend my wife read a remark of Pete's in People magazine in 
     which Pete said he thought his ears were getting worse when he 
     realized he couldn't hear his wife and child in the front seat of the 
     car while he was in the back.  He said "I guess one day I'll have to 
     get a hearing aid."
     
     He doesn't yet wear a hearing aid?  But he's had a hearing problem for 
     20 years now!  Why wouldn't he wear a hearing aid?  My guess is it's 
     either vanity or fear that people will make fun of his age if he went 
     out in public or on-stage wearing ear protection.  If one of you has 
     Pete's address, you might one to send him one of those Belltone ads 
     for the hidden hearing aid.
