          Mark, I believe that your heart is in the right place, and I 
          want a thorough retrospective, too.  But I find it hard to 
          believe that you or anybody else on this list (even Fang) 
          can directly sway Pete Townshend when Chris and Jon could 
          not. I don't doubt that you would present a rational 
          arguement to Pete, but I think it would be fruitless; Pete 
          has never struck me as all that easy to deal with.  It seems 
          to me that MCA will do what Pete wants. And I just don't 
          think that you'll be successful at convincing Pete of 
          anything. Pete and "logic" are often mutually exclusive.  If 
          you can present that same logical argument to Chris and Jon, 
          and if they see its merit, then I think you've won the 
          battle that you can win. If they can't convince Pete, then 
          nobody can. And if Pete doesn't want it, MCA is not going to 
          produce it.
