Dread Zeppelin

Howdy!
Any of you folks fan of our Homeboys, Dread Zeppelin. They are a
wonderfully tight reggae band who's lead singer happens to be an incredible
Fat 70s Elvis impersonator (Tortelvis), who would do NOTHING but led Zeppelin
covers - the original logo was Bob marley & Elvis shaking hands under the
Zeppelin. Robert plant is a big fan.

Anyways, they have a new CD on their own Cash Cow label (they used to be on
A&M) with a change of tactics. Called "The Sun Sessions", with an "F"
written over the "S' ("The Fun Sessions") , its subtitled "Tortelvis Sings
The Classics", & not since "Mouldy oldies - Col Jubilation B Johnson & his
knights Attack The Hits" (dylan's "Nashville Skyline band cutting loose) have
I heard anything so wonderful!

For you Whosters & Rusties, Tortelvis does "Suite:Judy Blue Eyes" & "Baba
O'Reily" along with tons of staples of "classic rock" - Sunshine Of Your
Love/ Born On A Bayou/ Freebird/ Feel Like making love, before ending with
the Abbey road trilogy of "Golden Slumbers-Carry That Weight-The End"! VERY
highly recommended!!!!

best,
   A Friend of yours (GaryM),
who's STILL having tons of trouble with e-mail!
