DC Show

I was at the 2/2/96 DC show. It was pretty good. JAE seemed to be very
troubled by the monitors/equipment in general so I had a feeling he wasn't in
the best of moods to see fans afterward.

There was supposed to be a "Meet and Greet" afterward but because of the
weather (read snowstorm), it had to be cancelled. My friends and I hung
around though, but the Bayou management kept saying he wasn't coming out, had
left, etc. I was about ready to start believing it until a guy went up to
the Bayou manager and said he would like to leave but his sister had gone to
the band's dressing room and handn't come back (this must have been at least
a half hour after the band stopped playing).

Well, the manager got a real concerned look on his face and left. That's
when I knew John was still in the building (gotta remember that trick). By
the time the manager came back (with the sister - and she was definitely
excited about something), there was only about 8 people left waiting.
Another 5 minutes later John came out and began signing. He looked pretty
worn out and was carrying what looked like scarves and socks, and a bottle of
wine. He seemed very out of it, but maybe he was just tired and wanted to
get on the bus. Anyway, I got a 12" promo copy of "Too Late the Hero" single
signed.

It was well worth the wait (which really was only about 45min to an hour.).
