Who hates Whom?

-- [ From: Amira Boctor * EMC.Ver #2.10P ] --

I'm glad to read that Chicago is not the only radio station-impaired
city this side of the Atlantic. (Down with Q101! Down with Q101!)
Our classic rock station plays a lot of Who---albeit the same three
songs over and over---plus a lot of the groups most of you mentioned.
I, too, spend a lot of time listening to the "oldies" station in the
area---no Who songs there---and even that gets tired after a while
because they go through "phases" where they play certain songs over and
over. Roger Daltrey said in a recent interview:
"I can't pretend that I understand this business anymore. I mean, in
my day, the record company didn't come near you. We'd give them an
album and we'd tell them 'This is the single and we want it out at this
time.' And we were always right. Now, you're dealing with A&R men who
hate everyone over 30, and you've got radio shows where the DJs have no
control over what they play anymore. There is a computer list which
tells them what to play."*
I've read that younger rock stars feel the same way . . . anybody else
hear this?
