tub , cixelsyd ton m'I, but I imagine that the inspiration would be a
modern day extrapolation of some sort of religious figure such as Christ,
since he is the leader Tommy follows in his ascension to a Christ-like
status.  

If The Song Remains the Same had come out before the movie, I'm sure they
would have nicked the Jimmy Page ageing process scene to make the leader
an older Tommy.  As it was using the father was about the next best thing
to that.

I always heard it as "Sparkle warm crytstaline glances to show;  that the
is your leader and he is your guide" implying it is reference to the
leader.
