Sound quality on Quad vinyl soundtrack

Maybe I've got a bad pressing, but the "new" songs on the Quad
soundtrack I've got on vinyl sound quite crappy ("Joker James", etc.)
In contrast the remixes on sides 1&2 sound fine.  Then again, I don't
see why everyone complains about sound quality of the original 2-LP.
If you crank it up loud enough for THE REAL ME it ceases to matter! :)
