RE: Bose Stereo display light

Oh... and that headunit is manufactured by Panasonic. So you might want to
call them instead of Bose. Bose only made the amp and speakers.

I honestly can't say that fixing the backlight will be worth your trouble.
Besides, I've heard too many stories of people replacing the head-unit from
the optional Bose system in the '97-'98 GLXs and there being a night-and-day
difference in better sound. I do like the OEM look of the stock unit tho'.
:(

Well... good luck.

I replaced several pressure switches and a bulb on a Pioneer detachable face
plate. Got the parts directly from Pioneer. Maybe Bose can help out?

Hi all,

Half of the green backlight on the Bose stereo (premium audio, '97 GLX) in
my car recently went out. Hardly life threatening, but annoying
nonetheless.

Does anyone have any suggestions for repairing this? Something tells me
that I may be looking at replacing the whole stereo just for one little
bulb.

Darren.
