Smelly A/C

Hey guys, I have this problem with "wet rag" odors that I'm getting whenever I
first turn on my A/C.  Has anybody had this problem before?  If so, how did
you fix it?  It's gotten really bad that I'm embarrassed to have passengers in
the car when I turn my A/C.  (It's over powering my air freshers!)  My girl
says that it smells like an old dirty pamper. hahaha!  Hey thanks for any help
you can give on this.
