RE: 60K Mile Service on 98 Jetta GLX

I thought the VR6 had a chain and it doesn't need to be replaced, maybe just
inspected. My GLX has 125k on it and the chain has never had to be replaced.

Does the timing belt really need to be replaced at 60K miles?  One
dealer says yes.  Another says just inspect it.
