wheel locks are okay as long as you don't crank on them or have any TECH's
from those's speeedy fix-it shops snap it off, I had the same troubles trust
me, cost me 300 bucks to get it fixed because I have after market rims and
studs not bolts, he had to replace the whole hub, it sucked.  Then the
alignment, my god, my car is lowered, so geting it onto any lift is almost
impossible, but it was insane to drive the wheels and steering wheels felt
like they we're going two different directions so i had to take her in. I
wish i could do it myself but what are you gonna do, I had to remove the
front spolier but they did it, it was a sears, (use to be NTB) in hampton
roads VA, 50 bucks but at least the wheels and steering wheel both are
straight, but she don't stay str8 when the hands come off the wheel, I think
its the low pro tires and the lowering springs, oh wheel that teaches me.
don't trust anyone with your car, watch them every step of the way if your
going to fork out any $$$$$$$

After getting my new Toyo's at Town Fair Tire (CT and MA) they broke the 
locking bolt key.  Since it was a saturday, they had to call the local VW 
dealer, open the parts department and purchase 4 new wheel bolts.  
Surprisingly, TFT actually told me about the mishap and I waited patiently.

In the mean time, one of the "techs" came up to me, handed me the keys, and 
said my car is ready.  I walked out, noticed the missing wheel bolts, and 
promptly told the manager that his employees are idiots.  All in all, it 
took an extra hour to get the wheels on.  I won't even go into how they 
couldn't align the car after 3 attempts.  The steering wheel is still off by

15 degrees.

Does anyone know if the dealers are any better?
Lessons learned, get rid of the wheel locks before you run into any 
problems.
