RE: Can't win on Tire Care
or just tell the tire shop to hand loosen and tighten the locking bolt. I
think most tire shops are idiots. got my tires at a local shop and one
wheel slipped off the mounting machine, gouging the interior and exterior of
the rim. I see it and tell the shop manager who says, of course "it was
like that". I then ask to talk to the tech and he says "yeah it slipped of
the mounting deck". So they paid for the repair. then I go to another shop
for an alignment and they throw out the plastic covers to the bolts! Just
threw them out. I asked why and they said, "we didn't think they were
important". So I bought a new set (like $40 or something) and they
reimbursed me. I am sure they are glad I do not do my job with the same
attention to detail!
