Front Shock Bearings

I have a '98 GLX with Bilstein Sports and H&R Springs.  I replaced the stock 
suspension about 50k miles ago and now the upper shock bearings (rubber, 
mount to the top of the shock pistons) have become compressed.  I am 
wondering if it is possible to replace those bearings without having to 
remove the entire shock/spring assembly.  I don't want to have to go through 
another alignment.  Has anyone tried this before?  TIA
