Misfire codes are cylinder specific; that's all there is to it. If you have cylinders 1 and 6
misfiring, it stores a code for each cylinder that won't go away until you have someone with the
proper VAG tool reset them.

I don't know how they got 11 of them out of a 6 cylinder engine... maybe they got a few misfires and
some other codes as well (knock sensors, probably...). I agree that it's a little weird that the
dealership thought flushing the engine was going to help.

Anyway, I hope you didn't pay dealership #2 more than $400 for the coil pack... you definitely
should post to the group first if you have time :-) It will save you some cash.
