RE: tranmission?

You essentially have a slipping clutch. This happens when your clutch
disc gets worn down, and it needs to be replaced. I'm not sure how many
miles you have on your car, but clutches can last between 70k-120k with
normal driving, and much less with highly aggressive driving.

Changing a clutch requires removal of the transmission, therefore costing
upwards from $700-$1000 for parts and labor.... maybe more.

How many miles are on your car?

Subject: tranmission?

Anyone knows what it might be if in gear, i press the gas (with the clutch
not pressed down...), and the revs go up, then i feel something catch a
little later and then the car accelerates? This also happens when crusing
along and i give it gas, and there's just engine noise, then finally
followed by acceleration....like a lag or something.

any help will be appreciated.

Thanks.
