Window Woes & Solution

I too had the same problem in my 96 GLX left rear window. It was the window
regulator. There's a hand that grabs onto the bottom of the window via
rubber claws. There is a plastic component that is pressed/formed into the
metal housing of this hand. The plastic part wraps around and hugs a small
nipple which is part of the steel cable to raise and lower the window. The
plastic part wore away and broke. Unfortunately you have to replace the
entire regulator ~$70-90 (dealer). It's an easy install once the door panel
is removed. Just remove the motor/gears from the old regulator and install
to the new regulator. Install regulator in the reverse of the removal
procedures. Voila! Hope this helps?
