Sounds like the camera manufacturer Canon.  The Canon A2 has a manufacturing defect with one of the controls.  Almost everyone's camera has boken but Canon still says that there is not a problem.  Camera repair shops have made thier own modification to fix it.  It's a nice $100 fix for a problem that doesn't really exist!!
