Actually, Kevin was right.  The offset on the 7x17 Jetta sport wheel is
38mm.  It's the B3 and 4 Passats that are 35mm.  Here are the offsets and
sizes of some OEM 5x100 wheels:

A3 VR6:  6.5x15 43mm
B3/4 VR6:  6x15 35mm
A4 (all engines):  6x15 38mm, 6.5x16 42mm, 7x17 38mm
TT:  7x16 31mm, 7.5x17 32mm
