Re: 2000 or 2001 model?



The '00 GLS VR6 has 15" steel wheels as base equipment.  If you get the
luxury package you get, besides the sunroof, 16" alloys (FWIW, the 4cyls
gets 15" alloys as did the '99 GLS VR6's).  As far as I know the '01's will
have some new colors and, at last, there will be a sport suspension option
(Edmunds tested Jetta and GTI 1.8T's that had the pre-production version of
this suspension and they gave it good marks).  17" alloys may also be
available.  I'm hoping the 24V VR6 will make its way over here, but I'm not
holding my breath.  I'm also hoping that in either a GTI or Jetta that I'll
be able to get a VR6 with cloth sport seats.
