Short SHifter Questions

A Neuspeed short shifter was installed in my Jetta GLX a few weeks back.  
Well, now I need to find out 2 things....

1- How do I adjust the looseness in the tranny lever.  When it is in gear the 
lever moves around a lot and has play?  I heard there is a screw that helps 
adjust this, is this true?

2- I also noticed that my lever now squeaks a little when I change gears.  
How can I stop this?
