A while ago I had a plymouth NEON that had the same clicking that you describe in reverse. The solve for my NEON was to repack new wheel bearings. Jeremy Brandow ..And now! For the ultimate driving experience!..

SO, at first I was suspecting a CV problem, because I was getting a popping sound when the wheels were turned to lock. The only crazy thing about it was that it ONLY happened while in reverse... Never forward. I'll turn the wheel fully, then start backing out. As the car gets to about the 45* mark (ie halfway through the backing out), there is (not always) a pop. Any ideas, gents/ladies?
