Yes, in Europe the rear fog light is on the driver rear of the car.  The
Jetta has this setup on the car (not sure if this was mentioned already...i
was delte happy yesterday) and actually has a socket on each side of the
trunk lid ...I ended using the two rear fog sockets as additional brake
lights.
