Best reported time for an A3 Jetta, 0-60 in 6.9 secs.  A4 Jetta, best 
reported time 0-60 in 7.2 secs.  For an A3 GTI, best reported time 6.6 secs 
to 60, A4 GTI 6.8 secs.  Since these time are produced by "professional" 
drivers from reputable publications, this is probably our best source of 
information.  

1/4 mile times are usually a better comparison, since you can produce these 
with a $20-$30 entrance fee at your local track.
