RE: Anyone put the Golf IV style lights on a GLX?
Alright, you caught me repeating possibly false rumours. Sorry. The GM
dealership could theoretically still be a possibility, as they are the only
others offering the Monsoon system in their cars.
I do have to wonder who actually makes the head units though. It looks
awfully similar to the Panasonic/Premium one that _was_ in my '98.
Internals/interfaces could be completely different though.

As far as I can tell, Monsoon is it's own company... they also make computer
speakers... You can check out their site: http://www.monsoonpower.com/

Actually, according to several people on the VWVortex forum, its likely made
by Delphi (GM's parts division). A factory changer should be available for
around $300-$350 (try www.vw.com if your dealer won't give you a decent
price).
Of course, if you were really adventurous, you could try a GM dealer.

Is this Monsoon system made by someone like Sony, Blaupunkt, or Pioneer? The
reason I am asking is because I need a cd changer to hook right up to the
pre wired cd hook up.
