RE: 97 Jetta GLX Coil Pack & Tires



I just checked my 95 warranty. the coil pack is not indicated on either the
24/24k limited warranty or the 8/80 emissions warranty (or the 10/100
powertrain).

I have Platinum Masterguard for an extended warranty, and the coil pack is
not listed as a covered component for that either. It lists the "Electronic
Ignition Control Module", but not the Ignition Coil or Coil pack....

Sounds like someone at VW knew there would be an issue with this pricey
little item.....
