First of all, I'd strongly question the 30K miles quoted. Is that just 
30K with the Weber carbs? Semantic problem, but that's a good 
way of 'modifying' the truth... The rest sounds pretty cool, although 
again I'd question how many miles the clutch has on it altogether... 
it may only have 2K on THIS GTi, but what about the source car... 
Otherwise about the only thing on there I don't like the sound of is 
clear turn signal lights... For all the work, and if the car is in good 
shape, $3500 doesn't sound *TOO* high. Check www.kbb.com .
