    Yep, I think you have a clutch job coming.  I have the same problem in my 
car. I noticed a loss of power above about 4000 rpms, and I could no longer 
chirp the tires between gears.  I replaced spark plug wires, plugs, put fuel 
additive in, couple other maintenance things, with no luck.  It turns out 
that I need a clutch.  I have 82k on my GLX.

Awaiting the final death of my clutch...
