Alfas use Porsche synchros and the required driving technique is to
touch second before shifting in to first but it helps any car.  If you
want to de-aggravate your shifting experience, put in some Red Line
MTL90 and , if you can afford it, the NEUSPEED Shortshift kit and the
hard motor mount.  If I'm lyin', I'm buyin'.  Most Synthetic gear lubes
are specific to limited slip (which we don't have), and MTL90 is not.
