radar/ laser detector

OK I'm driving out to Indiana to visit my mom (ah, how sweet) and I want a
good detector. I can't be spending the $300 on the one that I really want.
So my question to you guys is, which is a "good" detector that I can get
from a place like Best Buy? They have those Whistlers and stuff like that.
Don't want to spend more that $100. And if I do use it to go out there, do
you think they will let me take it back when I come back from my trip?
