Or maybe it was that Tuscon "desert" heat...   :)
There really is no telling what it could be, but I really do wonder if
it has something to do with your air-intake (heat related or not).
You could always give your car a quick lookover and check your
filter, mesh-screen, hoses, etc.  Maybe somethine was temporarily
clogging up the intake system, then finally gave way.

Could also be the altitude.  Isn't Tucson a little bit above sea-level?
