Yes...  bras can potentially make your paint look like ASS!!!
I had a bra on a previous car I owned ('90 Geo Storm GSi) and
after a few years... the paint faded just slightly except for the paint
underneath the bra.  You will be able to notice the tiniest of differences.
Oh BTW...  I didn't leave my bra on all of the time... and I tried to
wash the bra (and car) on a weekly basis.  I never put Armor-All on
the bra either (since the directions said not too).  No matter how much
you clean it, dirt still gets under the bra, and it will scratch the paint.

I also want to say that I recently attended the "Volkswagens on the Green V"
show near Denver, CO. a week ago, and I did see several A2/A3 Golfs/Jettas
that had a nasty line going across the hood from a BRA!!!  My friend couldn't
believe how bad the paint looked.

In my opinion... you should only use a bra for long road trips on a highway.
This is only to prevent rocks from chipping your paint.  After you park, then
take the damn thing off.
