RE: WarrantyGold

This is very interesting. I really don't think there are any reputable
aftermarket warranty companies out there after my experience today. I
dropped my car off this morning to have a camshaft position sensor replaced
($120 part), and asked them to call the warranty company for approval. A few
hours later, the service dept calls me a tells me they can't get in touch
with the warranty company (left multiple voice mails, no return calls). They
finally call the underwriting company, and find out that the warranty
company has nothing to do with their business--the whole thing was
apparently some sort of scam. I don't know the details, and I am too pissed
to remember exactly what the service dept told me over the phone, but I
intend to find out and get my money back, going to court if necessary. This
is now the third time I've been fucked doing business over the phone; I
could've had a nice SC by now with all the money I've lost dealing with this
shit! I guess it's a good thing the part being replaced wasn't an alternator
or some other $$$ part. I'll post details as soon as I get the low-down on
this embarrassing situation.

Oh, in case you're wondering, I bought the bumper to bumper extended
warranty from GLS Auto Warranty Corp (http://www.autoextendwarranty.com).
They proudly display a BBB logo on the front page. Hmm, I wonder...

I mean no disrespect to WarrantyGold with this post. Caveat Emptor.
