re: door locks

Hi,

I have a minor problem that I was wondering if anyone else had seen
it.  According to my manual all the doors can be locked by holding
down the drivers lock on the inside of the car.  I have tried this and
it doesn't work.  The only way I can lock all the doors is to do it by
hand or to have the key in the door on the drivers side.  I have a '99
Jetta GLX.
