RE: Bose system

Well -

Seems as if this discussion has gone from monthly to weekly.

YOU CAN CHANGE THE HEAD UNIT WITH THE BOSE SYSTEM.
- NO SPECIAL ADAPTORS
- NO REMOVING ANYTHING
- NO ADDING ANYTHING
- DO NOT WIRE THE NEGATIVES
- REMEMBER TO HOOK UP THE AMP POWER ON

So, it can be done for most every system, and with the crutchfield harnesses
(wiring and antenna). The improvement is noticable and does not distort any
more than the original unit. The sound range is improved and some of the
speakers seem to 'turn on'. After 8 months with the Blaupunkt Las Vegas,
the system still performs like new.

Volume - was screwed up to start. The Bose Unit as I remember could not
adjust to low volumes well. The Blaupunkt has a much longer range at the
lower volumes and you seem to have to turn it up quite loud to get high
volume, but there is plenty of range left. A definate improvement.

If you are looking to simply get CD in the car, this is the best option.
Cheaper than all others. If you are an audiophile, it might not do, but it
is a starting point.

Don't believe the Hype.
