I don't know all the differences, but all of them are "luxury" or 
"convenience" upgrades between the GL and the GLS. They're 
essentially the same car. Same features, same components, same things 
under the hood. The differences between them are typically limited to 
leather/cloth, alloy/steel wheels, etc.

The big difference between Jettas comes when you consider the GL vs 
GLX or GLS vs GLX. Only since the new Jetta (99 year and later) have 
the GLS models come with the option for VR6 engines.
