This may be a possible solution but I don't know what effect it would
have on your wax/paint. At most pet shops they sell a product you can
spray on your furniture to keep the cat from scratching, peeing, what
ever. I've never tried it but thought it might be an option. Hope this
would help. Better than the dog tied to the front bumper.
BTW -cats, the other white meat. just kidding, I love cats, they taste
like chicken
