RE: Oil Filter



I've never heard of K&N making an oil filter for the VR6. In fact, I've
never heard of K&N making any type of oil filter; I believe they only make
air filters. Check again with the parts guy. If it is indeed an oil filter,
it should be fine. Did the parts guy tell you how much it was?

Quite honestly I don't think the type or brand of oil makes any difference
at all, as long as you keep up with the maintenance schedule. I've dumped
both conventional and synthetic, and anywhere from 0w30 to 15w50 into my car
and have neither seen nor felt any appreciable differences. Right now I'm
using Mobil 1 15w50, just for my own peace of mind.
